By Rikki-Lee Arnold, The Courier-Mail
Fans should expect to see a more emotional Benji Marshall in 2017, with the playmaker on a mission to enjoy his winning moments more.
The Broncos utility made his Intrust Super Cup debut on Saturday night, setting up two tries in Redcliffe’s 18-6 victory over Townsville.
The former Tigers and Dragons half played the entire 80 minutes at fullback for the Dolphins. He set up winger Josh Beehag for a four-pointer late in the first half, before putting five-eighth Tyson Gamble over in the 54th minute.
“In the last couple of years especially, whenever I’ve set up a try or done something good, I don’t think I’ve showed enough emotion or really enjoyed it,” he said. “Celebrating off the back of doing something good, it just shows how much I really want to be there and how much I’m enjoying it.”
