Benji Marshall will play at Dolphin Stadium Saturday Night

The Village Motors Dolphins have confirmed that Benji Marshall will make his debut for the team this Saturday night at Dolphin Stadium.

“Our fans have been keen to know when Benji will pull on a Dolphins jersey. We are really excited that he will play his first game for us in front of our home crowd,” General Manager of Football Grant Cleal said.

There is a big day of football at Dolphin Stadium this Saturday, with the Dolphins taking on the Townsville Blackhawks in three grades. Gates will open at 2pm.

Fans can expect a great evening of footy starting with the Mal Meninga Squad playing at 2.50pm and Colts at 4.25pm. Main game kick-off is at 7pm.

“We are playing top of the Intrust Super Cup table Townsville Blackhawks and will be in for a tough game,” Cleal said. “Having Benji named in the squad is a boost for us, not to mention a treat for our Dolphins fans.”

Dolphins and Benji Marshall fans can take advantage of free train travel being offered this Saturday. “Dolphin Stadium is approximately 1.5km from the Kippa Ring Train Station so it’s a great option for fans who will be travelling from outside Redcliffe to the game,” Cleal said.

Cleal said he is expecting a good crowd for the game with Townsville Blackhawks always a popular clash. “We’ve had a lot of inquiries and at this stage we have about three corporate tables left so if anyone has been thinking about it, they should jump online or ring the Club to secure their table,” he said.

The post-match awards event, “Dolphins Full-Time” will be open to everyone at the game.

Tickets are on sale at the gate.
