The Redcliffe Dolphins are aiming for a return home to kickstart their Hostplus Cup campaign this Saturday at Moreton Daily Stadium.
The Dolphins return to their home ground amid the excitement of playing a curtain raiser to an NRL match.
The game between the Dolphins and Townsville Blackhawks will kick off at 12.15pm on Saturday before the 3pm NRL clash between the Warriors and Raiders.
After a disappointing loss away in Cairns last weekend, Dolphins’ head coach Scott Murray is hoping for better luck with the return to home pastures.
The Dolphins have had to endure four straight games away against Norths, Wynnum, Burleigh and In Cairns, the only enjoy coming against the reigning premiers Norths Devils.
And hopefully the decent start in last week’s match against the Northern Pride is a sign of things to come.
“We should have won last week after the good start we had,” said Murray.
“I think our first 20 minutes in Cairns is the best 20 minutes we have put together on the field this year.
“It will be a good time to get home and it has been a tough ask on the road.
“We have also spoken about the opportunity playing a match before an NRL game presents – there should be a good home crowd on hand.”
Tickets to the match, that include both the Hostplus Cup and NRL game, are available here.
