The Village Motors Redcliffe Dolphins will kick off their 2022 Hostplus Cup campaign at the same place they hope to end the season – at Moreton Daily Stadium.
The Queensland Rugby League has released the draw for the 2022 Hostplus Cup, which was formerly known as the Intrust Super Cup.
Once again the Grand Final will be played at the home of the Dolphins, Moreton Daily Stadium, on September 25.
The Dolphins will begin their quest under new coach Scott Murray with a home game against the Sunshine Coast Falcons on Saturday March 19.
Four straight away games will follow against premiers Norths Devils, Burleigh, Wynnum and then the Northern Pride in Cairns.
Back home at Moreton Daily Stadium on April 30, the Dolphins will host the Townsville Blackhawks before a bye and another game at home against Souths Logan Magpies.
Four home games in six matches through the middle of the season will be an opportunity for the Dolphins to build some competition points.
These will start on June 4 against Ipswich and the Central Capras (June 18), followed by back-to-back home games against Tweed Heads Seagulls (July 9) and Norths Devils (July 16).
That run will include away matches against the PNG Hunters on the Gold Coast, in Mackay where they will meet the Cutters and a trip into town to play the Brisbane Tigers.
Away trips to Townsville, Souths Logan and the Sunshine Coast will sandwich home games against Wynnum Manly and the Northern Pride to finish the preliminary rounds.
The Hostplus Cup finals series will begin on the first weekend in September, when the Dolphins will be priming for a run at a home grand final.
