Hugh Pratt has signed on again for the Village Motors Dolphins. The Lismore product had a great season with the Club in 2018, turning out in 22 first grade matches, including the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final.
Pratt and Broncos young gun Jake Turpin looked set to share the hooking duties in 2018 but after Turpin broke his leg in round 2 at Burleigh, Pratt made the spot his own until his team mate’s return.
Turpin also had a great season after returning from injury and together they provided some headaches for opposing teams. General Manager of Football Grant Cleal said both can play 80 minutes, defend well and have great skills. “It was difficult some weeks for Coach Adam Mogg to decide who starts and who sits on the bench.”
Sheldon Pitama and Harry Smith will also provide selection headaches for coach Mogg during the season as will 2018 Dolphins leading point scorer Oscar Carter who has great potential.
“One thing is for certain, whoever gets the number 9 jersey in round 1 in 2019 will need to perform well every week to keep it,” Cleal said.
